This guide explains how to install, use, and remove PresenterDeck, the guided Zoom presenter control system from Dynamic Videos, Inc.
Installing PresenterDeck
- Download the PresenterDeck installer for your operating system (Windows or macOS) from the link provided with your PresenterDeck hardware, or by contacting james@dynamicvideos.net.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts. On Windows, you may need to allow the installer through Windows SmartScreen; on macOS, allow the app in System Settings, Privacy and Security, if prompted.
- Connect your PresenterDeck hardware controller (Ulanzi D200X) via USB.
- Open Zoom Workplace and sign in to your account. Launch PresenterDeck, it will automatically detect your running Zoom client and establish its read-only connection through the Zoom Apps SDK.
- Once connected, PresenterDeck’s status indicator will confirm the link to Zoom.
Using PresenterDeck
Once installed and connected, your PresenterDeck controller gives you guided, one-touch access to common Zoom meeting functions directly from its physical buttons and display, including:
- Mute / unmute your microphone
- Turn your camera on or off
- Start or stop screen sharing
- Additional guided presenter controls configured for your workflow
PresenterDeck runs locally on your computer. Meeting control actions are performed the same way as if you clicked the corresponding button in the Zoom client, no meeting data, recordings, chat, or contacts are accessed or stored by PresenterDeck.
Updating PresenterDeck
We recommend keeping PresenterDeck up to date. When an update is available, you’ll be notified in the app; simply follow the prompts to install the latest version.
Removing PresenterDeck
Windows
- Open Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps.
- Locate “PresenterDeck” in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu (or select the app) and choose Uninstall, then follow the prompts.
- Disconnect the PresenterDeck hardware controller from your USB port.
macOS
- Quit PresenterDeck if it is running (from the menu bar or Activity Monitor).
- Open Finder, then Applications.
- Drag the PresenterDeck app to the Trash, then empty the Trash.
- Disconnect the PresenterDeck hardware controller from your USB port.
Uninstalling PresenterDeck automatically ends its connection to Zoom. If you’d also like to remove PresenterDeck’s authorization from your Zoom account, open Zoom’s web portal, go to Profile, then Apps (or Settings, then Zoom Apps), locate PresenterDeck, and click Remove.
