Record your slides and your presenter — perfectly in sync, every time.
Dual Recorder captures your PowerPoint deck and your on-camera presenter as two clean, time-aligned video files in a single pass — no separate screen-recording app running alongside your webcam software, no manual syncing in the edit bay, and no dropped frames on long sessions. Point it at your webcam and your slideshow, hit record, and present. Everything else — the alignment, the slide markers, the export — happens automatically when you stop.
Built for real presentations, not demos
- Handles full-length sessions — up to an hour or more — without missing a beat
- Captures webcam and screen video together at a consistent frame rate, so playback stays smooth start to finish
- Keeps recording cleanly even if your webcam gets disconnected or another app is briefly using the camera, with automatic recovery instead of a lost session
Every slide change becomes an edit point
Dual Recorder connects directly to a running PowerPoint presentation and watches your slideshow as you present, automatically marking the exact moment of every slide transition. There’s no separate device to press and no timestamps to write down — the markers show up already placed on your timeline when you open the project in your editor. Marker files are written out for:
- VEGAS Pro — via a bundled import script that drops every marker straight onto your timeline
- DaVinci Resolve — as a standard EDL you import through Timelines → Import → Timeline Markers
- Premiere Pro — as an XMEML file ready for File → Import
- A plain CSV — for anyone who wants to review or hand off the marker list manually
That means the tedious part of editing a recorded presentation — finding where each slide starts so you can cut, caption, or index by topic — is already done before you open your editing software.
Precision sync, automatically
Two separate recordings drifting out of sync is the single most common headache in presentation video — a webcam feed and a screen capture rarely start, run, or stop on exactly the same clock. Dual Recorder runs every session through an automatic alignment pass on stop: it measures and corrects each track’s own internal timing, lines up the start of your screen and camera footage to the frame, and even fine-tunes your slide markers against the actual moment each slide visually appears on screen. You get two files that already match — verified against real hardware down to the frame in both VEGAS Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
Simple by design
Dual Recorder has no pause button, and that’s deliberate. Pausing a recording sounds convenient, but it’s exactly the kind of “convenience” that quietly corrupts or drops footage in the background. Instead, Dual Recorder is built around clean, complete takes: stop the recording and start a new file whenever you need a break, and every file you get is guaranteed complete and properly finalized — never left in a half-written state you discover only after the fact.
What you need
- A Windows 10 or 11 PC
- The full desktop version of PowerPoint if you want automatic slide markers (PowerPoint’s lightweight Viewer app doesn’t support this)
- Nothing else to install separately — the recorder bundles everything it needs to run
Who it’s for
Whether you’re producing a home-study course, building out a training library, or recording a keynote for later distribution, Dual Recorder gives you both angles — camera and content — already synced, already marked, and ready to hand straight to an editor.
